How do I become a driving instructor

You want one of the most varied

Jobs in this world - you want to become a driving instructor - this is how it works:

Requirements:

  • (according to § 2 FahrlG)

​ ​

  • Minimum age: 21 years

​

  • Condition: Mentally, physically and professionally fit
    -> Verification by official medical certificate

​

  • Education: Completed vocational training in a recognized profession
    or
    Equivalent previous education, e.g. Abitur or technical college entrance qualification

​ ​

  • Driving licences: class BE (cars with trailers)
    -> Class B driving license for at least three years

​ ​

  • As a rule, the prerequisites mentioned must be fulfilled at the time of the examination. Exceptions are possible.​

Education:

  • 1 month introductory phase

​

  • 7 months full-time course in a driving instructor training center (Munich has two)

​

  • 4 months internship in our training driving school

​

  • 2 reflection days in a driving instructor training center during the internship and

​

  • 1 week of reflection in a driving instructor training center during the internship

Exams:

  • Driving test

​ ​

  • Written exam

​ ​

  • Oral technical examination

​ ​

  • Theoretical and practical lesson in our training driving school
